Finished Armhole

Including lining into the armhole seam without visible allowances.Gothic patchwork construction in silk layered blouse.
The blouse’s armhole: meeting-point of sleeve and body, also needed to capture part of the collar and hold the earlierly hemmed lining, for which was opted to unite all those layers in a single seam and encapsulate their allowances with a hand-sewn bias border as a neat and simple way of finishing this conclusive joining.

Frontal Zipper

A rump-long hidden zipper, skillfully installed into the blouse’s front as a hand-sewn bearing between fabric and lining; a single invisible fastener to tailor the waist and continuate the pleat-sequence within the collar.

Stitched Hemlines

In order to accommodate with the eventual visibility of their inner sides, the black blouse’s sleeves and body each have their hemlines stitched off with lining before they are conjoined in the armhole, applying finishing before construction to allow the use of understitchings for flattening the seams with a faultlessly slick effect.
