After Wave Gotik Treffen 2011

Thursday's TraditionWith Leipzig feeling a little more like home, and home a bit less homey every year, I am with certain sorrow to find this year’s Treffen already over.  Perhaps its for this lingering feeling that, though the intended purpose for this blog has now been met, I see no reason for its discontinuation.

If anything, meeting so many people already aware of the work I am investing, and witnessing them recognise individual pieces from the outfits, the success of this blog and its prospective use to kindred spirits are all the more clear to me.

However, to further keep this blog on a daily update some changes are in place; one being a slight generalisation into other fields I work in, another the possible introduction of the occasional guest-writer, but more evidently will be enhancing this platform to support the growing reader-interactivity, making sure the best is yet to come.

To all new readers I wish a pleasant view of this site and would like to use the opportunity to point out the comments function to express your thoughts on individual posts, and to use the new/upcoming contact-section (or the email on my card) to channel me directly.

Thursday Primary: Elegant Gothic

To adress the subject of Sunday’s outfits; they will primarily comprise of acquired pieces, either specifically purchased from renowned artists within the scene (some even visiting WGT themselves) or obtained from more general stores to be enhanced or modified, in correlation with some smaller of my original pieces  bringing the outfits to the level of my own designs.

Monday’s Secondary Outfit

Monday's Secondary Outfit

Monday’s Secondary Outfit combines both cyber and mittelalter elements to establish an immaculate hybrid look showing quite a lot of skin, yet relying strongly on hair-based fabrics.
Akin to the Primary Outfit is the boastful chin-covering-collar capette - contrived from remaining scarlet velour - as the focal point of the outfit, giving away to the off-white velvet-jersey used for the crop-top, returning as the base-material for the fur-covered leg and wrist-warmers, keeping red glow-sticks embedded into tiny pockets.
Covering the hips we find sideways slashed short shorts, giving a hint of the underwear, whilst upholding the, with straps and rings decorated, back-panel-skirt, spurring the futuristic side of the outfit together with the cybernetic eye-wear combed discretely through the head rigorous blond hair.

Monday’s Primary Outfit

Monday’s Primary Outfit assimilates a continuous chain of development progression in three deviant materials.

Monday's Primary Outfit

Flaunting the first of these resources; an enticing scarlet velour, is a wide majestic floor-length cape, augmented with a bolstering shoulder base supporting a high standing collar, whilst having divergent bonds swaying from it, showing off the fabric’s potency in sheer abundance.
Only in the highest contrast do we uncover the next substance in the obsidian leather gear underneath, consisting of a tight top, pants, straps, bracers, choker and a long layered skirt falling wide open through movement, nearly grasping the cape in span.
The outfit’s final featured matter incorporates the various armor pieces in brushed brass, consisting out of conceited cape-mounted spaulders, a robust mouth mask, glove-emerging claw fingers and a variety of significants in closures and clasps, making its transcendental return in crude aurulent rings enclosing tall horns, iconically reaching upwards.

Saturday’s Primary Outfit

Saturday's Primary Outfit

Authentically Dark Gothic, Saturday’s primary outfit consolidates around an enormous black cuir-satin cape, exhibiting front and rear arched windows stagnating up to the high standing collar, one revealing an alluring red-black mosaic, the other giving light to an artpiece on it’s own: a carmine silk shirt composed from bundles of graceful flow-lines.
Layering blending shades of red hair onto the cape are burgundy and maroon long-pelt shoulder-coverings sided by the wine-shaded traversing-layer haircut (itself suggestive to the shape of a sideways gothic window), all detracting from the cape’s collar, the ensemble’s main focal point.
Topping off the outfit is a fifteen-cornered tall-hat, towering in between backwards leaning horns able to pierce through congruous outlets in the sides of this from both satin and leather substance constructed headpiece.
