On thursday june 9, I had the opportunity of doing the first official photo-shoot presenting my own designs being photographed by Marcus Rietzsch in the upper hall of the Leipziger Neues Rathaus. The results from this fruitful experience are set to appear printed in the 2011 issue of Pfingstgeflüster, the annual publication documenting the various aspects of the Wave Gotik Treffen, after which they’ll be posted on this website.
After one of the WGT shows I had the pleasure of running into virtuoso violinist Pete Johansen, within the Gothic-Metal world best known for his contributions to The Sins of Thy Beloved, Tristania and Sirenia CDs, and though I don’t hide how important these works, and especially his additions are to me, it felt alleviating finally being able to tell the man who redefined music to me after I diverted from the classical path myself.
For being able to make best use of the last weeks before the festival, I made sure I gathered the required fabrics for making the remainig items on the Saturday outfits, comprising of: a long haired wine-colored faux fur (primary outfit, ground shoulder layer), a deep-red high-stretch velvety jersey (secondary outfit, blouse) and a luxuriously shining deep-black hairy velour (jacket), probably most resembling panther-hide.
