The preliminary designs for the upcoming Wave Gothic Treffen festival display a strong anchorage in day by day venturing, conceptualising addressed sub-scenes through color-indicated line-impressions, embarking on new experiments as well as revisiting some older ones through the means of creating a continuous play of tailored bodices and flowing length throughout the five festival days, making each outfit a well thought-out combination of natural and synthetic materials, with a newly found attention towards head decoration.

Leisurely Exploration
This year’s was the first of my visits to grant me the time to relax and sit down in one of my favorite places in Leipzig, the Thomaskirche area, where I was now able to scout the sublimely revamped Bach Museum.
Ultimate Test
The rather unexpected terrain embarked upon by visiting the early-saturday Empyrium show, was a certain challenge in evaluating my cape‘s internal workings, prompting to use the desolate location as the backdrop for this video, portraying the continuous maintainment of a symmetrical Gothic Window during movement.
Pfingstgeflüster Shoot
The phototshoot we did with Pfingstgeflüster on the day before the WGT brought us a special opportunity to discover the monumental hallways of the early twentieth century “New Town Hall” that was built upon the foundations of the old Pleissenburg castle, which deemed a perfect setting to showcase our thursday outfits.

Pfingstgeflüster Shoot
On thursday june 9, I had the opportunity of doing the first official photo-shoot presenting my own designs being photographed by Marcus Rietzsch in the upper hall of the Leipziger Neues Rathaus. The results from this fruitful experience are set to appear printed in the 2011 issue of Pfingstgeflüster, the annual publication documenting the various aspects of the Wave Gotik Treffen, after which they’ll be posted on this website.
