On Advertisements

Although I generally oppose the placement of advertisements on websites, I learnt quite early on that the concept of Opus Relinque would lend itself well to certain marketable strategies, a notion, which like most aspects of this domain started exploratory.
During the course of my blogging, however, I have to say I have grown somewhat impressed of the Google Adsense advertisement program, waging autonomously between ads that are both most relevant and most profitable within their clients, providing a selection seemingly suitable to the context of my postings, most noticeably on individual article pages.

Conformability aside, I shall be looking further into ways of making the automated ads less hindering to the interface, and start considering endorsing suitable companies or events as a replacement for the ads on this blog’s home and index pages.

Outfit Requirements / The Damage

Being worn for hours on end during the Wave Gotik Treffen, there is quite a lot of hardship my outfits have to be able to withstand apart from general weather conditions.

As there is really no estimating what a full day of standing, posing, walking, dancing, industrial dancing, moving through construction sites (new), eating, headbanging, using various forms of public transport, and occasionally sitting, will do to them, every year brings a bit of a surprise. So, the first thing to do back at home from this ultimate field-test shall always be ascertaining the damage and seeing through repairs and improvements.

Thursday’s Meeting

Thomaskirche Leipzig, shot from next to Bach's StatueAs a number of readers have expressed interest in meeting up before the Wave Gotik Treffen festival takes place, I would like, to not disperse, to welcome those who are interrested to join me for dinner at Auerbachs Keller on thursday.

Auerbach’s keller, situated right in the heart of Leipzig has a beautiful underground restaurant, serving excellent food at very affordable prices for such an amazing atmosphere. Every year the menu is refreshed,  the drinks enlarged and the staff ever so friendly, setting the perfect mood for this once a year vacation.

For the actual meet-up I convey the area in front of the Thomaskirche, where one can easily spot one another and I generally tend to roam on my first day in Leipzig. After paying respects to the old master, we can, perhaps around half past 6, slowly progress towards the Mädlerpassage where we may descend down into the Large Cellar.

Another Level

Where home-making clothes in order to give a personal touch to a basic need for clothing is one thing, couture is the art of producing garments using quality materials in visually appealing constructions in order to make a person look better in achieving a perfect fit.

Fashion-art is the point in which couture becomes fine art (as opposed to applied art), employing textile with other sewables to construct impressions and shapes around the human body as a medium to channel designs inexclusive to dressmaking.

In general, the more expensive the material, the lesser the work that should be done to it, and the finer the craftmanship should be. However, in pursuing artistic conception dominates structure and design, imperative to the selection of fabric that serves best to carry them.
