Textile Base

Red Shirt Textile BaseRed Shirt design on Textile Base

The textile base for the Red Shirt is a lightweight fabric construction of a well-fitting coupe on which I can conveniently draw the shirt’s design-lines using a marker to precisely locate all the seam points on my body.

  1. Doesn’t look much like it

  2. It is not supposed to.

It’s a construction base, portraying the tailored shape of the garment devided over carefully placed naps, cut out of cheap equally dense fabric.

Once It is right, I can easily draw my design on it using a marker, then cut the base into pieces in order to gain my definite patterns.

  3. I added an ‘after’ shot for comprehensibility.
