Anyway leather is really practical because of it's stiffnes. You don't need bowning and it still beholds the form when you are making corsett-like things.
Sadly it’s not mine, but an old semi-industrial at the atelier. My own, however, fared fairly well on the thick leather, though I’m still looking for a solution that can provide a nicer set of stitchings for this job.
