Reinforced butterfly laceTurned into a brooch

A dainty little artwork, fashioned for sharpening up the slightly more monotonous of outfits.

    About a day, though having done it once might make it go faster.

    I’m very pleased with how firm, yet flexible the wings turned out. If it holds up I might harness it with other outfits as well.

    what fabrik or something is it made of?
    what technique did you use?

    (yes, fan of butterflies)

    The fabric-base is just a lace applique I purchased online.
    The work however goes into the tin frame making it stand up with adjustable wings while pin-able like a brooch.

    Maybe I’ll post a making-of picture someday, when I don’t have something else to write about :smile:

    looks really awesome!

    would love to try and make one myself… lack of time till WGT so i wont be able… (work + exams and then we leave for WGT)
